IAN'S THREE SHOWS.

Tip: Need posters? Click on the pictures for full size, full quality posters (A3, PDF) for your venue (or bedroom!). To view or print them, you'll need Adobe Reader - available HERE. If you have problems saving or printing from Adobe, then Right Click the pictures & choose "Save Target As". The "Save Picture As" option will save the JPG version, which is about A5 size and much lower quality.

Since leaving "Coconut Joe's" and "The Bull's Head", Ian has gone back to the circuit, and is now exciting audiences with three new shows, each of which has been tailored to a different type of venue and crowd. First of these (and, by far, the most colourful) is:

SHOWSTOPPERS

Designed primarily for larger bars and hotels, this show features favourites from Broadway and beyond, with costume changes, all done on stage. (None of that 2 minutes of "intro" while he goes back to the dressing room! - Oh no... Thank goodness for Velcro!)

The show opens with a massive intro in English, Spanish and German, which gives way to classics from Les Miserables, Phantom Of The Opera, Copacabana, Carousel, Turandot, and even Meatloaf! The only criterion all of the songs in this show must follow is that they could all be the last song of the night. Hence, when you go to see the show... Don't leave until the fat man sings.... No.... The REALLY fat man!

For the bookers - "Showstoppers" has been designed to be performed in front of EITHER an English-speaking OR an International audience. The International version features pre-recorded links in three languages, and no "banter". Please advise in advance which version you require.

And then there's:

DECADES

Ian put this show together with those venues in mind who request a longer (up to 3 hr) show. It is also more "kid friendly", and therefore possibly better for the summer audiences. It has songs from every era from the 50's right through to the 2000's (or the "noughties", as we like to call them!). Artists include Buddy Holly, Elvis, Neil Diamond, Neil Sedaka, The Village People, Boy George, Spandau Ballet, Robbie Williams, Oasis, McFly, Pavarotti, Il Divo.... In fact, everyone! For shows of 90 mins or less, Ian will generally pick a series of three decades, based on the audience. This is quite often 50's to 80's, but with a young crowd could be 80's to 00's.

Bookers please note: Although this show can be cut to a standard 40 minute spot, it is designed to be at least one hour. Also, if you have a preference of decades (maybe you'd like 60's, 80's & 00's...), let Ian know before the show. You want Neil Diamond & McFly?.... He can do that!

And also:

SWINGERS N' CROONERS

This is the ideal show for venues whose audience is a touch more "mature" in their tastes. (i.e. all of them from September to May!). Opening with Harry Connick Jr, Ian runs through a set of songs from some of the last centurys' greatest performers. Sinatra, of course, features prominently, as does Matt Monro. Dean Martin and Bobby Daryn both make an appearance, and there's even a passing mention of Robbie Williams (for the kids!).

Swingers n' Crooners runs from 40 minutes to one hour (depending on venue requirements), and can be performed in any venue, from the smallest bar to the largest hotel or theatre.

Scene around: From Butlins to Las Vegas!

Ian has been on the island for five years now after twenty-five years in the business in the UK. He started off straight from school at Butlins, Skegness and never went back to take up his University place. He is a classically trained singer and has his own cabaret act; he has sung, danced, acted, learned about sound and lighting, costumes and make-up, in fact he has been around long enough to know the entertaining business very well.

Ian has also played keyboards for backing singers, sung in a duo and also in a three-piece band and now helps other acts with the sound for their mini-discs and tapes.
His own act includes a Las Vegas tribute and a Broadway tribute and this guy really can sing. He has presence and a great voice – go to his website for more information: www.entertainmentintenerife.com

Recently Ian has been working at Laguna Park 2 as an entertainer, a compère in Parque de la Paz, Los Cristianos: on Fridays at the Bull’s Head and on Sundays at Coconut Joe’s. He also appears at T.J.s in Los Gigantes and you may have heard him on Gold FM at the weekends - he says that he is a ‘career DJ’.

No job is too small for this busy guy so in the run-up to Christmas remember – we told you first!
For more information on Ian Andrews or any of the other acts managed by G.A.R.entertainments, please ring Graham Paul on 606 835706.
